These structural modeling and analysis input specifications are stored in STAAD input file – a text file with extension, .STD. When the GUI opens an existing model file, it reads all of the information necessary from the STAAD input file. The STAAD input file is processed by the STAAD analysis ’engine’ to produce results that are stored in several files (with file extensions such as ANL, BMD, TMH, etc.). Luckily I’m here to weed out the good stuff for you.
But before we get down to business, I recommend installing the CLEO library first. It’s totally free and it’s a base requirement for most Vice City mods.30. Custom Radio Station
Mods are all about changing the way the game plays. And while setting up your own custom radio station doesn’t require you to download anything other than your favorite songs, I’d say it’s worth mentioning.
It’s actually one of the game’s base features (although mods do exist too).
But you may not realize this comes with the game if nobody tells you.
To do this, you’ll need songs to be in an mp3 format.
Once you have that just drop them in the “mp3” folder in your main GTA: Vice City directory.
It’s such a simple thing to do, and yet so many games neglect to give users that freedom!29. HD Radio Icons
Since we’re already messing with the game’s radio stations, consider installing HD Radio Icons by modder Firefly.
A lot of mods here aim to make your GTA: Vice City experience look out of this world. If you’re already going through all that trouble, it makes no sense not to address every little detail – even if it’s just the radio icons.

Vice City HD Effects by Nobeus does exactly what its name suggests.
It adds many new visual effects, such as realistic blood splattering, and also improves others like water, gunshot flashes, and even the traces left by burnt tire rubber.
One of my favorite features is the addition of clouds of smoke from both cars and weapons, which float up into the sky in a really organic manner.
It’s unlike anything seen in games from back in the day.25. Windowed Mod
Nowadays most games let you start them on windowed mode.
Not only do many games just run better on lower-end PCs this way, but it gives you a bit more freedom regarding which resolution you want to play in.
This mod by ThirteenAG simply adds the feature for GTA: Vice City, which becomes really important when you consider that the base game doesn’t support widescreen aspect ratios.
Other than that, it’s also handy for streamers. And anyone who just likes jumping between programs on the fly without the hassle inherent to fullscreen games.24. Widescreen Fix
But making the game run in windowed mode isn’t enough to solve all of your resolution issues. Especially if what you’re trying to achieve is a game that runs on a modern 16:9 ratio.
Also made by ThirteenAG (you’ll see that name pretty often in GTA modding), this easy-to-install fix will let you take the resolution up to Full HD and beyond with no problem.
It’s also available for San Andreas and a bunch of other old-timey games, so if you’re ever in a pickle with an outdated aspect ratio, you know exactly where to look.23. Frame Limit Adjuster
The last of the fundamental adjustments you’ll need to install to get your Vice City up to modern graphical standards is the Frame Limit Adjuster, released by ThirteenAG.
This nifty tool frees your game from its default 30fps cap so it can take full advantage of your modern gaming rig and run in a fluid 60fps.

There’s only so much content and detail a single development team can put into a game while keeping up with release dates.
Luckily, modders have no such constraints. And their work can help make our favorite games considerably deeper.
New Vice City 2011 by modding group Modstar goes a long way towards a more realistic city life by introducing a fuel system for all vehicles.
If gas is too expensive for you, there’s also public transportation throughout the map. And you can call taxis to your location too. This is a big overhaul!
With this mod you can even call 911 to get police protection, as long as you’re not the one committing crimes.
There’s too much to cover by myself, so go on and give it a try!21. Light Saber
GTA: Vice City features a wealth of weapons to impose your superiority over other criminals and police forces.
But can there ever be enough?
One of the most unique options in terms of melee weaponry is RC12’s Light Saber, which lets you wield an energy blade like those featured in everyone’s favorite space-fantasy epic.
With this flashy saber, you’ll feel like a low-poly version of No More Heroes’ Travis.
It really doesn’t get any cooler than this.20. GTA: State of Liberty
The Grand Theft Auto games all take place in an alternate version of the USA. Most of them in the fictional State of Liberty, where you can find San Andreas, Vice City, and Liberty City.
This massive mod endeavors to bring together the settings from GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas into a single, gigantic, playable map. Complete with iconic landmarks like the Statue of Liberty.
It’s huge, seriously.
Due to the unpredictable nature of fan-projects, the mod is still in development even after 10 years!
But there are several playable builds with most completed features. Definitely worth a try!19. GVBP ReShade
The GVBP ReShade injects Vice City with improved lighting, shadows, and other effects that give the game a much more modern look.
It was made by the GTA Vice City Beautification Project (hence the name) for use with several other graphic mods to achieve the best-looking Vice City possible.

Generally I’d tell you to stay away from anything calling itself the “Definitive” anything.
But this mod by Qualcom does a lot to justify the self-congratulating title.
It brings together many mods covered in our ranking, such as the Widescreen Fix and Windowed Mode, along with some other tweaks to create an easy-to-install catch-all build.
It even includes the CLEO library, saving you a lot of troublesome setup in the first place.
If you’re looking for a quick update to your game so you can go back to playing in no time, this is it.17. GTA Vice City: Updated Classic
The thing with universal fixes such as the “Definitive Edition” is that every mod creator has a different view of what’s essential and what can be left alone.
Another great build that’ll make your game feel more fluid and fix several issues is this “Updated Classic” by Philips_27, which includes functional headlights on your cars, fixes the sound of grenades, and adds better weapons and radar icons.
Other than that it also restores several features present in the console versions of GTA: Vice City, such as rotating loading screens and much more.
This comes with a lot, so yeah you’ll have to try it for yourself to see.16. Nitrous Oxide
No, this mod won’t make Tommy Vercetti laugh uncontrollably and have mild hallucinations.
This is a 2001 game people. Have some decency!
This Nitrous Oxide is for your vehicle, and you can get it by going to the NOS Garage next to Washington Pay’n’Spray.

One of the most significant gameplay additions made by the super-famous GTAV is the possibility of playing in first-person, only possible in the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of the game.
This fantastic mod by GeniusZ introduces the feature to GTA: Vice City. Despite some bizarre details like steering wheels that don’t move and twisted arms when driving a bike.

The Vice City Mod Loader will let you install and uninstall mods with a click of a button. And it removes the need to mess with your base game’s directories, making it remarkably safe.

After you’ve installed the CLEO library we mentioned at the beginning of the ranking, the doors open to a wide variety of complex mods. One of the best is CLEO Parkour by Ford1986.
This mod won’t turn your game into Assassin’s Creed or Mirror’s Edge.
But it will let you pull off several cool tricks like handstands, rolling in different directions, and believe it or not, sitting on benches!
It’ll also let you swim considerably faster and generally make Vice City a more dynamic experience.10. HD Tommy
What good is improving textures, adding sophisticated visual effects, or making your game widescreen-compatible if your main character looks more blocky than Minecraft’s Steve?

Lately I’ve gotten into the beautiful world of games with robust photo modes.
It’s just a pleasure to capture your best and worst gaming moments in pictures you can share with your peeps.
This Photocamera Mod by NRShaggy is far from Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey’s photo mode. But it’s a step in the right direction.
Plus it lets you take selfies, which is absolutely hilarious.
Once taken, pictures are stored in JPG format for later perusing or sharing online or whatever you wanna do. Way better than regular screenshots!8. Grand Theft Auto RE: Liberty City Stories
GTA: Liberty City Stories on the PSP features a great story with lovable characters, making it a favorite among a sizable portion of the GTA fanbase.
Modder Ryadica926 is among them. And they decided to bring their favorite story to Vice City’s engine so they could play it with better graphics and on the PC.
The result is this technically-impressive “remake” of Liberty City Stories, which features Staunton Island, Portland Island, and Shoreside Vale.
It also lets you play through the entire campaign which is really massive. This mod will keep you busy for hours on end, guaranteed.7. GTA: Long Night
One of Vice City’s most celebrated mods is the classic Long Night.
It turns the entire game into a sort of old-school zombie flick like Night of the Living Dead. Maybe not a mod for everyone, but certainly some will enjoy it.
Developed by The Fighting Hellfish, this horror-filled experience features over 20 new missions and six playable characters who’ll fight to survive the hordes of zombies running all around Vice City.
These new missions may not be the hardest you’ll ever face, but they will keep you entertained. Especially for OG fans of the game.
Of course, it also puts 25 new unique weapons at your disposal to survive the zombie uprising.
It even adds some new radio stations that are more in line with the supernatural ambiance. Now that’s craftsmanship.6. GTA: East Coast Stories
The US East Coast is home to a diverse population with contrasting cultures and a lot of stories to tell. Especially in GTA’s action-filled universe where anything is possible.
This massive overhaul by Swoorup brings together the bright Vice City and the dark, gritty landscape of Liberty City into a single playable map.
This serves as the setting for its own storyline, which takes place in 1993, some years after Tommy Vercetti’s criminal takeover. It feels like a whole new game(and in many ways it kind of is).
While many other mods attempt to bring together these iconic locations, this is definitely the most accomplished endeavor.5. Grand Theft Auto: Shine o’ Vice
Taking place a year after Tommy Vercetti became the head king pin, Shine o’Vice follows a newbie mobster from Liberty City who comes to Vice City in pursuit of his brother’s killer.
It’s still in development, but Pistukas Mods’ narrative-driven overhaul promises to become one of the greatest mods ever released for GTA: Vice City.
Not only is the demo absolutely brilliant, but the developer’s work on a GTAIII mod Frosted Winter is a thing of beauty. I’d say that gives them plenty of street-cred in the modding community and it means Shine o’ Vice is likely to turn out epic.4. Vice City ENB Series
One of GTA: Vice City’s most amazing graphical enhancements comes from the Vice City ENB series.
This fantastic mod brings several new visual effects to the Vice City engine, including reflections on metallic surfaces such as cars, and even the infamous cinematic lens flare. Plus a whole lot more that you won’t notice till you play with this turned on.
You’ll also notice some interesting tweaks when driving, and rain has never looked this good.
Considering the marginal performance cost and simple install, this is a must-have.3. Silent Patch
Easily the most famous GTA: Vice City mod has to be the Silent Patch, which fixes a stupidly long list of bugs overlooked by Rockstar, even after so many updates.
The patch, made by prolific modder Silent, also brings back several features only available on console, giving you the most complete Vice City experience.

Marketed as the Agfa Digital Converter, this item is aimed at those with a drawer full of slides and negatives in need of conversion.
The first thing you need to know about this item is that it is not manufactured by Agfa - its a generic made-in-China film scanner sold in the early to mid noughties and marketed under a variety of names - Agfa, Ion, SVP, Innovative Technology, EU3C, Otek and Plexgear to name a few. It is also known by the various brand names as the FilmScan 35i or by the boring model number SCND502E1231. The one thing these companies have in common is a complete disinterest in providing legacy support for their scanner. If you have lost the disc it came with and are running something more up-to-date than Windows XP Service Pack 2, you are pretty much screwed.
I trawled the internet for a fortnight finding a driver for this thing. Windows 7 did its best to find a driver (which was useless) and others failed. I was about to give up when I chanced upon a driver for this which actually works in Windows 7. If by some way you are reading this because you are looking to get this thing working on Windows 7 then I am about to make your dreams come true.
1. Firstly, get rid of any previous attempts to load a driver and make sure the scanner is unplugged.
2. Next, download this little beauty FilmScan35i Driver WinXP - WinVista - Win7
3. Run the installer
4. REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER
5. The installer should have created a shortcut on your desktop - Image Scan Tool
6. Right click on the icon, choose properties, choose compatibility, and then choose ’run this program in compatibility mode for Windows Service Pack 2’ Make sure the box is checked. Save.
Connect your scanner and click on the icon. You should now (pray) have a working FilmScan35i on Windows 7. You will know its working because there will be light in the negative carrier slot.
With that, I had a working scanner. I had to wait until daybreak to venture into the spider-kingdom which is my garage to find some slides. Following the fairly simple user-interface I managed to capture this slide in glorious digi-vision for eternity. This, if you are not aware, is the prototype Concorde taking a test flight.

OK, maybe I should have invested in a can of compressed air. The scanner does come with a velveteen brush which is good for getting hairs out of the scanner but hey - nothing moves dust like a blast of air from a can.
The good thing about this scanner is the speed in which you can get stuff done. Once you are in the rhythm you can digitise quite quickly. Not bad for £12 on Ebay!
The bad points - there is absolutely no adjustment. You can do 1800 or 3600dpi, and thats it. The scanner automatically adjusts the exposure - in some cases quite badly, obliterating skies and skin tones in the process. You can ’cheat’ the scanner by pressing ’scan’ as it is adjusting. But its not ideal. The whites can be a bit pixellated and blown out. If you need control you really need to fork out for something golden like a Nikon Coolscan. Am I expecting too much from a £10 scanner?
Budget alternatives include the Lomography scanner for smartphones which uses the same technology, this may or may not have adjustment but will certainly have full frame capture if I know anything about these hipster moneygrabbers. Alternatively you can get an LCD monitor to display white light, tape your slides or negs onto it and snap away with a digital camera. Finally a backlit flatbed scanner will certainly scan slides and negatives and many come with slide and negative carriers.
Final verdict - bargain. But if you want perfection you will need to pay more. Much more. Innovative Technology Itns-300 Software Download

Numbers works in a fashion somewhat different from traditional spreadsheets like Microsoft Excel or Lotus 1-2-3. In the traditional model, the table is the first-class citizen of the system, acting as both the primary interface for work, as well as the container for other types of media like charts or digital images. In effect, the spreadsheet and the table are one and the same. In contrast, Numbers uses a separate ’canvas’ as its basic container object, and tables are among the many objects that can be placed within the canvas.[6][N 1]
This difference is not simply a case of syntax. In order to provide a large workspace, conventional spreadsheets extend a table in X and Y to form a very large grid—ideally infinite, but normally limited to some smaller dimension.[N 2] Some of these cells, selected by the user, hold data. Data is manipulated using formulas, which are placed in other cells in the same sheet and output their results back into the formula cell’s display. The rest of the sheet is ’sparse’, currently unused.[8]
Sheets often grow very complex with input data, intermediate values from formulas and output areas, separated by blank areas. In order to manage this complexity, Excel allows one to hide data that is not of interest,[9] often intermediate values. Quattro Pro commonly introduced the idea of multiple sheets in a single book, allowing further subdivision of the data; Excel implements this as a set of tabs along the bottom of the workbook.
In contrast, Numbers does not have an underlying spreadsheet in the traditional sense, but uses multiple individual tables for this purpose.[6] Tables are an X and Y collection of cells, like a sheet, but extend only to the limits of the data they hold. Each section of data, or output from formulas, can be combined into an existing table, or placed into a new table. Tables can be collected by the user onto single or multiple canvases. Whereas a typical Excel sheet has data strewn across it, a Numbers canvas could build the same output through smaller individual tables encompassing the same data.[10]Formulas and functions[edit]A newly created Numbers document is styled to indicate suggested header areas in column A and row 1. Note that the table stops in the lower right of the screen, which can be resized with the widget in the corner.After adding data and headers, Numbers has automatically created named ranges over the data. The ranges were used to create a formula that has populated column D. Note that the same formula can be used for the entire column—the row number is not required.The table has been resized to show only the used area, moved into the center of the canvas, and styled. Consider a simple spreadsheet being used to calculate the average value of all car sales in a month for a given year. The sheet might contain the month number or name in column A, the number of cars sold in column B, and the total income in column C. The user wishes to complete the task of ’calculate the average income per car sold by dividing the total income by the number of cars sold, and put the resulting average in column D’. From the user’s perspective, the values in the cells have semantic content, they are ’cars sold’ and ’total income’, and they want to manipulate this to produce an output value, ’average price’.
In traditional spreadsheets, the semantic value of the numbers is lost. The number in cell B2 is not ’the number of cars sold in the month of January’, but simply ’the value in cell B2’. The formula for calculating the average is based on the manipulation of the cells, in the form =C2/B2. As the spreadsheet is unaware of the user’s desire for D to be an output column, the user copies that formula into all of the cells in D. However, as the formula refers to data on different rows, it must be modified as it is copied into the cells in D, changing it to refer to the correct row. For instance, the formula in D4 would read =C4/B4. Excel automates this later task by using a relative referencing system that works as long as the cells retain their location relative to the formula. However, this system requires Excel to track any changes to the layout of the sheet and adjust the formulas, a process that is far from foolproof.[11]
During the development of Improv, the Lotus team discovered that these sorts of formulas were both difficult to use, and resistant to future changes in the spreadsheet layout.[12] Their solution was to make the user explicitly define the semantic content of the sheets—that the B column contained ’cars sold’. These data ranges were known as ’categories’. Formulas were written by referring to these categories by name, creating a new category that could be (if desired) placed in the sheet for display. Using the car example, the formula in Improv would be average per car = total income / cars sold. Changes to the layout of the sheet would not affect the formulas; the data remains defined no matter where it is moved. It also meant that formulas calculating intermediate values did not have to be placed in the sheet and normally did not take up room. The downside to Improv’s approach is that it demanded more information from the user up-front, and was considered less suitable for ’quick and dirty’ calculations or basic list building.[13]
Numbers uses a hybrid approach to the creation of formulas, supporting the use of named data like Improv, but implementing them in-sheet like Excel. In basic operation, Numbers can be used just like Excel; data can be typed anywhere and formulas can be created by referring to the data by its cell. However, if the user types a header into the table, something one normally does as a matter of course, Numbers uses this to automatically construct a named range for the cells on that row or column. For instance, if the user types ’month’ into A1, and then types the names ’January’, ’February’, etc. into the cells below it, Numbers constructs a named range for the cells A2 through A13 and gives it the name ’month’. The same is true when the user types in the figures for ’sales’ and ’income’. The user can then write the averaging formula in a category-like text format, = total income / cars sold. The formula will find the appropriate data and calculate the results independent of the row.[14] Like Improv, this formula does not refer to the physical location of the data in the sheet, so the sheet can be dramatically modified without causing the formula to fail.[14]
Similar to Improv, formulas can be represented as icons in Numbers, allowing them to be dragged about the sheets. One noteworthy example of this is a sidebar which contains the sum, average and other basic calculations for the current selection in the active table. These serve a function similar to the sum that appears at the bottom of the window in Excel. However, the user can drag one of the function icons from the sidebar into the sheet to make the calculation appear in that location.[14] In another nod to Improv, the Formula List shows all of the formulas in the spreadsheet in a separate area, and allows edits in place or easy navigation to their use in the sheets.
Numbers ’09 contains 262 built-in functions that can be used in formulas.[15] This contrasts with Excel 2007’s 338 functions.[16] Many of the functions in Numbers are identical to those in Excel; missing ones tend to be related to statistics, although this area was greatly improved in Numbers ’09.[17]
Numbers ’09 includes a system for categorizing data similar to pivot tables. Pivots were introduced in Improv and were manipulated by dragging the category headers,[17] allowing the user to quickly rotate rows into columns or vice versa. Although Numbers has similar draggable objects representing formulas, they are not used for this feature and the direct manipulation is missing. Instead, Numbers places pop-up menus in the column headers allowing the user to collapse multiple rows into totals (sums, averages, etc.) based on data that is common across rows. This is similar functionality to a pivot table, but lacks the ease of re-arrangement of the Improv model and other advanced features. Numbers also allows sheets to be emailed in Excel format in a single step, or shared through Numbers for iCloud.Reception[edit]
Numbers has been well received in the press, notably for its text-based formulas, clean looks and ease of use.[22][23][24]Macworld has given it high marks, especially newer versions, awarding Numbers ’09 four mice out of five. They did point out a number of common issues, especially problems exporting to Excel and the inability to ’lock’ cells to prevent them moving when the table is scrolled.[17] Numbers for the iPhone and iPad have received similar favorable reviews.[25]
However, version 3.0 of Numbers created an outpouring of complaints due to the loss of important business features,[26][27] with the Apple support community showing a 10 to 1 ratio of dissatisfied users with the newer version of Numbers. Versions 4 and 5 of the software put many of these features back as well as adding many new features and functionalities.[28] In their review of Version 5, MacWorld concluded that ’Numbers 5 for Mac advances the app, making it more useful for more purposes with less effort, but it’s still a shadow of full-feature business spreadsheet programs.’[29]Other notable features[edit]
